The iMacs in the Information Commons are the 21.5-inch, late-2012 model.

The iMacs have a headphone jack, an SD card slot, 4 USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, and an Ethernet port. Please see for more technical details.

These computers do not have an internal disc drive. External disc drives are available for checkout on level 2.

They also no longer have a FireWire port- if you need to use a FireWire device, you will need an adapter.

The computers in the Information Commons run both Mac OS and Windows. To see a list of the software available on the Information Commons computers, please click here. Some software is only available on either the Mac or Windows side, or on specific computers - these are noted in the list linked above.
