In most group study rooms in the library (Standard Group Study Rooms), there is a VGA cable in the floor to display your laptop on the LCD screen. Macs require an adapter to be able to connect to the VGA cable.

In Easy Display Rooms, there is an outlet in the wall with the option to use either VGA or HDMI cables. These cables (and adapters for Macs) are available for checkout at the second floor desk.

Mac Adapter Types

Adapters, Ethernet cables, VGA or HDMI cables, and headphones may be checked out at the Level 2 desk, Tech on 2. These are for use ONLY in the library.

Guide to adapter types:

A: DVI to VGA (older Macbook Pros – silver)

B: Micro-DVI to VGA (Macbook Air)

C: Mini Display Port to VGA (current Macbook and Macbook Pro models - aluminum)

D: Mini-DVI to VGA (white Macbooks)

Adapters A-D connect to the VGA cable, which is in the floorbox in 1st & 3rd floor & media group study rooms, or available for checkout for Easy Display group study rooms.

F: Mini Display Port to HDMI (current Macbook and Macbook Pro models - aluminum)

Adapter F connects to the HDMI cable, which is available for checkout for Easy Display rooms.
